A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. Ephesians 5:31
Lord, where my wife (husband) has entertained thoughts of divorce, I ask that You would open her (his) eyes to see how far away that is from Your best for her (his) life and our lives together. For any time we have discussed divorce or she (he) has used the word "divorce" as a way out of our problems, I come before You on my wife's (husband's) behalf and ask for Your forgiveness. I ask that You would destroy the lie of the enemy that says divorce is an option we should consider. Show her (him) a better way, which is Your way for our lives. Let there be no divorce in our future. Amen.
